Magic Kingdom
- The latest additions to the 50th anniversary decorations in the Magic Kingdom focus on the main icon of the park, Cinderella Castle, with banners featuring Mary Blair’s concept art for the 1950 film.
- The Mad Tea Party roof has been receiving a new color scheme in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, and today, the painting was completed.
EPCOT
- Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared a new look at Spaceship Earth illuminated at night with the new “Points of Light” lighting effect.
- Even though Space 220 Restaurant doesn’t officially launch until September 20th, EPCOT’s newest eatery has begun “test flights,” and today, we’re taking a closer look at the interior of the restaurant, as well as a ride in the “Stellarvator.”
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Right on cue, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort has reopened to guests. And during the year-and-a-half long closure, it seems they’ve taken some time to “remaster” the lobby with a slightly new look.

- With the deadline for many of The Walt Disney Company’s Cast Members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 rapidly approaching, a number of Walt Disney World Cast Members are planning to protest against the company’s mandate.
- Amid hiring troubles, Walt Disney World has raised its hiring bonuses for select Cast Member roles ahead of a job fair being held September 20th at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
- Walt Disney World operating hours have been changed at all four theme parks for select dates in both October and November.
Disneyland Resort

- For those lucky guests with membership to Disneyland’s exclusive Club 33, a new whimsical collectors mug, based on “it’s a small world,” will be arriving in time for the attraction’s 55th Anniversary.
The Walt Disney Company

- The Walt Disney Company’s campus in Lake Nona, Florida is coming closer to fruition. Disney has reportedly purchased approximately 60 acres of land in southeast Orlando for the project.
New Merchandise
- The Minnie ears which are part of the Mickey balloon popcorn bucket scented Loungefly collection have finally touched down at the Magic Kingdom.
- Halloween is fast approaching and to get you looking your spooky best, Walt Disney World has some new Minnie ears that will bring out your ghoulish side, from Halloween right through to Christmas.
- Another day, another batch of new Halloween merchandise at Disneyland Resort! Today, we found two new items by Her Universe at Los Feliz Five and Dime.
- A new collection of Wonderland Tea has arrived in the Creations Shop at EPCOT.
- It’s Halloweentime all over the Disneyland Resort and the spookiness even extends to the tropical hideaway of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel, where a new Haunted Mansion gargoyle Tiki mug has materialized.
- It’s Gay Days at the Disneyland Resort and that means rainbow specialties, merchandise and more. For the occasion, there is a new tumbler available at quick service restaurants across Disneyland.
- New pins have arrived at Disneyland for three collections: “Where Fantasy Grows,” “Magic in the Stars,” and “Disney Dream Destinations.
