It has been nearly a month since the new Creations Shop opened at EPCOT. Now, construction around the former temporary MouseGear store is moving along.

Over the weekend, we showed you that the shop’s sign had been torn down — and most of the area’s exterior walls — as the space is reimagined.

Interior demolition has moved quickly, with the interior rafters and vents now exposed.

Crew members in cherry-picker vehicles were working on the ceiling.

Remodeling of the former Electric Umbrella area is also moving along. This area is adjacent to one of the Creations Shop entrances in the former Innoventions East area. It will eventually be home to a new quick-service restaurant and a Starbucks.

The view from the monorail looking back toward World Celebration reveals the scale of the construction project.

In the foreground is the future site of the “Moana”-inspired Journey of Water walkthrough attraction. A section of the site has now been marked off by dividers.

The wall blocking park guests’ view of the work curves around the entrances to the Creations Shop and Club Cool.

The breezeway between Creations Shop and the future dining locations has a construction wall running down the center.

The lights on the breezeway ceiling are functional, though not on during the day.

Some of the visible construction is further along than other areas.

Scaffolding on the far end of the structure reaches the roof overhang, and, in some spots, extends past it.

Tarps cover the front of the building, to protect the construction from the elements and block some of it from view.

A major part of the refurbishment of both this area and Creations Shop has been repainting the roof overhang and replacing some damaged panels.

Concept art for the new restaurant shows an open dining area similar in style to the Creations Shop.

The concept art also shows wall art featuring a world map.

Construction in the former temporary MouseGear shop and the former Electric Umbrella area is moving along. No timetable has been announced for the opening of the new Starbucks or the new restaurant.
