One of the new attractions coming soon to EPCOT is Journey of Water, a walkthrough experience inspired by “Moana.” Though construction has sometimes seemed stagnant from our Monorail view of the worksite, significant digging has been done this week.

Journey of Water will be across from Creations Shop, as part of the new World Nature neighborhood.

A large ditch can now be seen, just past the construction walls and scrims.

The ditch is surrounded by orange mesh fencing, and two platform structures are in the center of it. Crew members were working on these structures this morning.

An excavator vehicle is parked to the side of the ditch.

Just beyond that is the small structure that was built this summer, where more crew members were gathered.

Journey of Water is expected to open next year, but there is no current timeline for the attraction.

  1. Disney Co. USED to get things done quickly.. Lately they’re hiring the wrong people to run things. VERY DISAPPOINTED! My family and I won’t be visiting until Disney gets their act together.
