The crane was visible even from the PeopleMover boarding platform.

It’s toward the back of the construction site, next to the show building and behind Space Mountain.

Construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run was delayed significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and there is currently no opening date for the roller-coaster.

Construction of the attraction has also delayed the reopening of the Walt Disney World Railroad, which will be rerouted through a tunnel next to the coaster.

The crane’s hook extends down near the roof of the show building, out of sight.

It is being used to load the attraction’s train cars, reportedly because an awning is in the way.

Crew members in a cherry-picker vehicle near the crane appeared to be working on the canopy framework.

More crew members were on the entrance bridge.

The crew was also working atop the scaffolding next to the coaster’s entrance into the building.

From the other side of the site, we checked out this mysterious two-story structure. There doesn’t seem to have been any major progress on it in the past few weeks.

It’s currently surrounded by safety netting to protect workers while standing on it.

  1. This seems to be taking forever. They tested the roller coaster track last week. Somebody said that was a good sign of being close to completion. When are they going to complete this thing?

  2. This ride has taken way to long. The velocicoaster at universal started construction after this and finished already. Disney is shrugging it’s shoulders they clearly don’t care about the guests and what they want. Putting over a billion dollars into unnecessary money pushing upgrades like the magic bands and now genie plus…. Such a stupid company.
