The 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World is also the 50th anniversary of Cinderella Castle, and what better way to celebrate than with a matching Royal 50th Churro? We couldn’t think of one, so we stopped by the churro cart in Frontierland to pick one up.
Royal 50th Churro – $7
Churros rolled in strawberry sugar, drizzled with marshmallow cream, and shimmer sprinkles served with chocolate dipping sauce
The sprinkles give this churro a prominent strawberry taste, unlike some flavored churros that are indiscernible from the standard. The marshmallow icing tastes as expected and holds up well in the heat.
The EARidescent sprinkles are really cute and give it an extra crunch, but the inside of the churro is soft. The chocolate adds a bit of richness to cut some of the sweetness.
As weird as it may sound, the best way to describe this churro is that it tastes how the Main Street Confectionery smells when you walk into them.
It’s a sweeter treat, but it definitely delivers, and we would get this again.
