The queue saga continues at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Last year, we reported how these wall decals in the room just before the preshow of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway were completely destroyed by guests and then later fixed. Well, it seems it wasn’t a long-term fix because the decals are now bubbling on the wall.
After being destroyed by guests, some of the decals were removed and the murals were painted over. This is a case where you can’t even blame guests, as the decals are bubbling from underneath.
The murals were then later restored but it seems they just don’t want to stick to the wall, as you can see in these photos.
And this only keeps happening in this new section of the queue that was added with the opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, not the front section that existed for Great Movie Ride.

It’s the Ghost of the Great Movie Ride, come for revenge!
Obviously, it was done by unskilled, cheap labor. They would have been better off painting the mural. There are some fantastic mural painters working at WDW.
You know what vinyl decals are good for? Making stencils to PAINT! Then a few matte clear coat layers to protect said paint. It’s like they haven’t been running parks for almost 70 flipping years…
