Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Transport Shuttle Docking Bay Unveiled at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We have our first look at the tunnel guests will walk through when arriving by shuttle at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

Guests will take a bus disguised as a space transport from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, “docking” next to First Order Cargo. We first showed you what this transport would like like in an exclusive story a few years back.

Guests will then enter the land through this tunnel.

The docking bay tunnel was previously hidden by scrim. A row of hedges now blocks it from guest access but we can see over the hedges.

The maiden voyage of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will begin on March 1, though the hotel has seen waves of cancellations and criticism due to its high price.

  1. What a disaster. It begs the question, is Lucasfilm just trying to destroy the Star Wars franchise or the Disney corporation as a whole…

      1. Right out into general population of Hollywood Studios. Casually dressed civilians in crowded HS isn’t exactly an immersive experience.

    1. Yeah disney is really screwing up such a huge franchise an opportunity for an entire universe of stories adventures disney should know best that fans want the Nostalgia and what they are giving us is a CW Sci fi TV show

  2. “Guests will take a bus disguised as a space transport from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, “docking” next to First Order Cargo.” How dumb do they think Star Wars fans are? Is Mears handling the fake bus?

  3. Thanks to the cancellations, I was able to move up my reservation from June to early April. When you make the reservation, the price is already spell out for you. Why are people making reservations knowing the price already?

I am a Disney and Star Wars fan and can’t wait until April.

  4. Its all good for the Lurping immersion factor at the hotel but once you step foot in the Black Spire Outpost at Galaxy’s Edge that goes all out the window once you mix in with all the other park goers. Sorry but for 6K for not even two day stay this will crash and burn after a few months.

  5. That area is still under construction so I Wouldn’t call this a first look. And also it where the vehicle would park the guest don’t even see or stand in this area they get out of the vehicle and walk though the archway/doorway.
