ABC Commissary in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is serving up a new plant-based treat for Valentine’s Day. This engagement ring cake will be available through February 14.
Engagement Ring Cake – $5.49
Chocolate cake filled with raspberry sauce atop a shortbread cookie complete with a white chocolate engagement ring (Plant-based)
Grab some napkins and a plate because this treat is messy. The red chocolate “dust” gets everywhere.
The cake itself is delicious, light, and moist.
The cake seems a little wet but we can’t tell if it’s because it is plant-based or because of the raspberry sauce in the center.
As for the raspberry sauce, hold onto your tastebuds because it is tart.
We recommend eating the sauce all together in one bite.
The sweetness of the cake breaks down the tartness somewhat but you still get a big hit of raspberry.
The shortbread cookie on the bottom is dry and tastes like butter mixed with sand.
The cookie adds nothing to the treat other than acting as a stand.
The ring covered in edible glitter is a great decoration for the cake but the white chocolate it’s made out of is bitter.
The cake itself is great but we could have done without all the “enhancements.” Pucker up for this tart treat.
