Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Gets Interactive Television Upgrade

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort just got an upgrade in the form of new, interactive television sets in guest rooms.

New smart TVs are slowly being introduced in Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms. These interactive television systems have a more personalized and easy-to-use experience that welcomes guests to the room, offers access to free content, connections to streaming content, and more.

The system is already in place at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Now, guests at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa can access the new televisions as well.

Here’s more from Disney about this system:

This new, interactive television system personalizes the in-room TV experience by welcoming guests upon arrival. Guests can also enjoy streaming in their room with complimentary Disney content and connectivity for their personal devices to stream their subscribed content (Disney+, Hulu, etc.). Standard channels, park hours, resort amenities, and information are also available.

Smartphones, tablets, and laptops are supported to stream to the TV. Only content from Chromecast-enabled apps (mirroring is not supported) can be sent to the TV.

Guest credentials and Connect My Device pairings will be cleared upon each check-out. Guests will use their personal devices to log into any subscription services, so information is not stored in the system.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently undergoing construction to convert some resort rooms into new Disney Vacation Club Villas, like the one pictured above.

  1. Does anyone know the name of the song that plays on a loop for the new interactive TV at the Grand Floridian?

My family and I just returned from our stay (May 2022), and would love to listen to that new music playing on the main menu screen; as it was the soundtrack to our mornings and late evenings.
