“Encanto”, the surprise smash hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, has taken home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature at the 94th Academy Awards.
“Encanto” was the likely winner from the outset, with last year’s “Raya and the Last Dragon” and Pixar’s “Luca” also up for the award from Disney. Netflix’s “The Mitchells vs The Machines” and Neon’s “Flee” were the other nominees.
Encanto became a surprise smash hit after it dropped on Disney+, with the song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” climbing to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in January.

Thanks for reporting this achievement because not many people care to watch the oscars.
A “hit” on Disney+, but a flop at the box office.
