Walt Disney Imagineers are beginning push-pull testing of the TRON Lightcycle / Run vehicles at Magic Kingdom.

This testing means sections of the lightcycle trains will be slowly dragged through the entire track of the coaster.

Once Imagineers know the track is ready, the trains will begin launch tests at incremental speeds, working up to full-speed launches with test weights.

Guests will be able to see the vehicle testing on the exterior portion of TRON Lightcycle / Run from Tomorrowland.

Watch a behind-the-scenes video featuring Executive Ride Engineer, Jerold Kaplan, below.

No opening date has been announced for TRON Lightcycle / Run. Check our most recent construction update.

  1. Good sign that Tron might get a summer opening after all. At the rate construction has been picking up, they might be able to open soon after the schools let out for summer.
