Today’s Q2 earnings report was the first to include results from the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, and CEO Bob Chapek boasted “strong demand” continuing. He cited an expectation for the 2-night experience to reach “100% utilization” for the third quarter, meaning they expect the Starcruiser to continue to reach capacity for each “voyage.”
As the bookings stand this evening after the call, only two voyage dates have openings during Q3 (May 14 and May 16).
The Starcruiser opened to hesitant guests due to mixed expectations from the marketing campaign. It saw several waves of cancelations, but demand grew shortly after the initial reviews turned out to be overall positive.
