Guests Using Disability Access Service (DAS) Will Still Need Boarding Group to Ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT

When Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens to guests at EPCOT on May 27th, it will utilize a virtual queue system similar to what was required for a period at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. As with those attractions, guests using the Disability Access Service, or DAS, will need a boarding group acquired from the virtual queue system to ride.

Guests with a DAS will have to first join the virtual queue and obtain a boarding group. Once their boarding group is called, they should head to the attraction and present their MagicBand or ticket media to enter using the Lightning Lane entrance. Guests will only be able to access this attraction by utilizing the virtual queue or by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. DAS return times will not be distributed like at other attractions.

  1. This is starting to get a bit ridiculous. I understand why rise of the resistance needed a virtual queue because of its popularity and complexity, for Remi‘s ratatouille adventure though, I felt like it didn’t really need one. As someone who has a visual disability, I was really glad when they took it away soon after launching it, but I think this is too much. Needing to have a boarding group before using the Dass system doesn’t make any sense at all. For people that have disabilities and are registered should be able to request a return time without needing to use the virtual queue.

  2. And we need to wait twice just like rise or remy too glad i heard that virtual will be short lived here and tron just like remy is free now unlike rise. They at least learned their lesson there but having us wait w das when most of us whom have das cant is still wrong!i am sorry! Waiting off is crazy enough waiting in line too bc lighting lane is worse than fp ever was. I do not get why we along w WC can not just be alt entrance like in the past. Like i said many of us use das bc family cannot wait long due to disality oh and btw am i the only one whom dislikes being called disabled vs guest assistance?

  3. Good. It is a high-demand ride, and most people who want to experience it will not be able to. There is nothing that prevents those using the DAS from clicking a screen at 7am. It’s not like standing in a line.

    • you absolute imbecile, you clearly have no appreciation or understanding of the incredibly wide spectrum of individuals within the DAS, especially those with sensory issues. You complete cretin. Using the virtual queue still means people have to queue at the ride, they just queue at a specific time, which reduces the overall impact initially. There is still a potential queing period and people with severe sensory or autistic issues are severely impacted. You disrespectful ignorant fool!
