Unionized Disney employees have rallied together in Kissimmee, by Walt Disney World Property, in support of a fair working wage. Cast Members are currently protesting and chanting “Disney workers need a raise.”
As provided by Katie Rice on Twitter, cast members are raising signs showing the difficulties affording health care, diapers, formula, and rent.

Disney proposed to raise starting pay by $1/hour per year to reach $20, but Cast Members are fighting for more up front, citing immediate financial distress that won’t be solved by long-term increases.

well the union members through their union pac could keep donating to the democrat party so they can afford even less at 20 bucks and hour than they did at 16 bucks per hour. in case these people did not get the memo, disney has raised prices so much that many of us cannot afford it anymore. i wonder what they think will pay for their raises? wishful thinking? and to the one gal about diapers, being laid off and out of a job does not buy diapers either.
go ahead disney. give them more money, the union really needs the money. as if disney is not already too expensive for so many. this should really help those that can no longer afford the parks and with the crowded parks. even more than the abismal reservation system and price gouging!
