*NEW* Impossibleâ„¢ Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes – $8.00

with Classic Gravy and Crispy Shallots

You would never believe it’s not real meat! The flavor of the dish is great, and the impossible meat really does taste like a traditional, homemade meatloaf. We even got to enjoy the end piece of the loaf, which is always the best part.

Although the flavor may make you think that you are eating meat, the texture tells a different story. The dish is very thick and chewy, almost like the texture of a power bar. It’s not entirely off-putting, but it does leave the dish with an imperfect feel. That being said, the flavor is so good, that it’s worth it overall to order this.

The silent MVP of the dish may be the mashed potatoes. The accompanying food item left us wishing we could eat more. The flavor of the potatoes blended perfectly with the meatloaf, and even acted as an added surprise. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this dish, and we will definitely be back for more.

*NEW* Pumpkin Layered Cheesecake – $7.00

Layers of New York-style Cheesecake, Pumpkin Gooey Cake, and Graham Cracker, topped with Spiced Chantilly and a Chocolate Decoration

The name of this dish says it all — it is a cheesecake that is layered with pumpkin pie on top. This means guests will be able to dive into the best of both worlds when eating this treat.

The dish melds one traditional dessert with another traditional holiday dessert, all in one bite. It’s light and creamy on the cheesecake layer, with just enough tang to satisfy. The pumpkin pie layer is thinner so as not to compete with the cheesecake, but still stands up as a good spoonful.

The spiced Chantilly on top is just an added little sprinkle that makes the dessert, even more, holiday-appropriate. Overall, we enjoyed this dessert, and it really brought out the holiday spirit in all of us!

*NEW* Blood Orange-Pom Limeade – $6.50

Pomegranate & Lime Juices and Cookie Butter & Blood Orange Syrups, garnished with a Lime Wheel

Although the drink is meant to have a cookie butter flavor, we got no cookie butter taste (but that may be for the best). It’s very much a lime-forward beverage, with pomegranate and blood orange to help round it out and cut some of the sourness from the lime flavoring with a sweet zing.

We think this may have benefited from a shot of alcohol to become a cocktail, but as it stands, it’s a good red fruit drink that is just sweet enough to be appealing, but not overly so.

*NEW* Hummingbird Cocktail – $15.00

Bourbon, Créme de Banana Liqueur, Pineapple Juice, Banana Purée, Butter Pecan Syrup, Cinnamon Sugar, Demerara Sugar, and Vanilla Bean, garnished with a Pineapple Wedge

This is a great tiki-style cocktail that we were not expecting from grandma! The bourbon is almost entirely lost, but the tropical flavors, and especially the banana liqueur, come through strongly.

It is offset by the slight tartness of the pineapple juice and a creamy characteristic from the vanilla and various types of sugars that twist it more towards the holidays than we would expect for a tiki drink. We thoroughly enjoyed this cocktail, and we would love to see something like this down at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Hotel.

Grandma’s Recipes creates fun, family-friendly dishes that not only look good but taste good as well. We recommend hitting this booth while snacking your way around the festival!
