Work continues on Summer House on the Lake, a new restaurant coming soon to the West Side of Disney Springs.
While the restaurant is still mostly lacking walls, corrugated paneling has been added to the ceiling atop a steel framework.
There are multiple construction vehicles on site.
The structure has a slightly layered sections of roof to create a dynamic façade with awnings.
A crane is at the end of the construction site nearest Jaleo.
A week ago, construction walls were extended to this standalone awning outside the AMC. It usually has a backdrop related to recent movie releases.
The walls somewhat block Jaleo from view, but it is still accessible around the corner.
This crane is parked near a wall of concrete on the Summer House structure.
We didn’t see crew members actively working during our recent trip.
The yellow vehicle looks like a digger, parked behind the AMC awning.
The construction walls show off some of the dishes that may be available at Summer House on the Lake when it opens later this year.
Summer House on the Lake was announced in the summer of 2022, taking over the space formerly planned for Beatrix. The new restaurant is a spin-off of the popular Chicago and North Bethesda, MD restaurant Summer House Santa Monica.
Both Beatrix and Summer House Santa Monica are owned by Lettuce Entertain You.
The completed exterior will be gray and white, with vine-covered walls and planters.
The interior will also be white, with wicker chairs and plants throughout.
