Disneyland Paris Works has shared aerial photos of ongoing construction at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris. As announced in 2018, Walt Disney Studios Park is being expanded. Phase one was Marvel Avengers Campus, which opened last summer, while phase two will include a Paris version of Arendelle — World of Frozen and a third unannounced area previously set to be Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before being cancelled.

Disneyland Paris Works points out in their photos that there is a new white crane on the canal connecting the park’s upcoming lake to a technical basin.

Another crane has been working on the World of “Frozen” show buildings. A backhoe is being used to dig near a movable bridge.

Connecting the construction site to the pre-existing Walt Disney Studios Park is the extended promenade leading through the center of the park. The rounded concrete basin next to the promenade may be for the “Tangled” round ride or small body of water pictured in concept art (below).

Next to the new “Tangled” ride will be an art nouveau-inspired restaurant, with its location visible as a rectangle of concrete in the aerial photos. An English garden area will also be off the promenade.

Some tracks for “Frozen Ever After” and the beginnings of a castle turret are also visible in Disneyland Paris Works photos.

This tweet by Disneyland Paris Works features photos from the construction site taken at approximately the same angle 13 months apart, showing how it has transformed from a staging area to building foundations.

  1. Last rumour I heard was that Disney may well have changed their mind about having a ‘Star Wars’ area here and were considering other options. Especially as there’s already several Star Wars rides and the meet & greet over in the main Disneyland park. Don’t think we’ll know for several years anyway. They will want to finish World of frozen first!
