BREAKING: “Impressions de France” Showings Reduced to Limited Morning Hours at EPCOT

Today, on a visit to the France Pavilion at EPCOT, we noticed that “Impressions de France,” the film showcasing the grandeur, and romance of one France, is only running for very limited hours in the morning. And by limited – we do mean limited.

Impressions de France 1

Impressions de France is now showing between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. It will open at 8:30 a.m. on days when guests of select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels get early entry to the park.

Previously, the Impressions de France film was shown exclusively during the evening at the Palais du Cinema. “Impressions de France” was shown between 7:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., following a 15-minute reduction that occurred in 2020. Now, those evening exclusive showings will switch to early mornings.

The Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along is also shown at Palais du Cinema in the France Pavilion, with showtimes from 10:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. daily. Extended Evening hours run from 9:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

Impressions de France2

Inaugurated in 2020, “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along” was helmed and produced by Don Hahn, the producer of the animated and live-action adaptations of “Beauty and the Beast.” Angela Lansbury, who portrayed Mrs. Potts in the original film, provides the narration for the sing-along.

Similar to other Disney entertainment options, “Impressions de France” and “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along” were closed in March 2020, but they resumed operation in July of the same year.

  1. This is terrible news! I do not understand at all. Impression de France is my family’s favorite World Showcase feature and we are never alone in the theater. Sad that something real and timeless and beautiful is being taken away for a sub-par animation film. They can share equally at least!

  2. It’s a shame. The movie is very beautifully shot (if a tad outdated now), and the Beauty and the Beast Singalong doesn’t take full advantage of the wider screens.

I hope a replacement is in the works, or at least something better than the singalong. My friends and I were really disappointed with how they wanted to “rewrite” the narrative with LeFou suddenly now being the hero.

Only offering it for what is likely going to be just two showings (max) feels like they’re intentionally trying to stop people from seeing it. It’s almost impossible to get from the main gate to France in that time anyways. You’d have to be willing to come at rope drop and book it to France, or be staying at Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach.

  3. I’m very disappointed. The last time I visited Epcot, I was unable to se Impressions. No matter how old it gets, it is an adult attraction that I always visit. The beauty of the scenes and majestic music are incomparable. I love B&B too, but there are other venues for that.

  4. I love Impressions de France. I hate the stupid sing along. I get they’re trying to “kid-ify” everything, but they need to remember who pays the bills. Guess I won’t have to spend time (or, by proxy, money) in the France pavilion now.

  5. I like impressions better then bad cgi soarin over really fake looking locations and crazy cgi animals. Epcot is dead it’s just Magic Kingdom jr with more alcohol and more flowers. Even the parking lot is the same except it’s not magical enough for them to run a tram but it still costs the same $30 to park there. I hope the new Epcot Wat Disney statue is peeing on Epcot because thats what they are doing to Walt’s original dream and concept of Epcot

  6. So disappointing! Impressions de France is an older film and slightly dated (some of the glasses people wear are huge!). But the music, scenery and script are fabulous. I have always suspected that Disney is trying to turn EPCOT into a more kid-oriented park, AKA dumb it down. This is just another example of that. My fear (and I’ve said this before) is when they finally get around to updating Spaceship Earth to incorporate “storytelling,” they’ll make it a series of tableaux from Disney movies.

  7. I think the early morning hours for Impressions de France is a bad move! It is our absolute favorite show at Epcot! We are retired and are never in the park that early. We may get there at noon, have dinner reservations, and stay until after the fireworks. I think they should share equally with Beauty and the Beast (they could alternate) each one some days morning and some days evening. That way, you could plan what day you want to see it in the evening. We don’t want to be getting a bus at 7:30 am when on vacation. This new change is really aggravating!
