Whether you’re in the mood to celebrate The Walt Disney Company’s centennial anniversary or want to kickstart your holiday spirit, Dooney & Bourke has you covered. Two new bags from the luxury brand will debut at Magic Kingdom on Monday, October 2 in celebration of two very different events; one of the bags celebrates the Disney 100 Years of Wonder event (stylized as Disney100), and the other features a number of iconic Disney characters enjoying Christmas in each other’s company.

The bags will be available at Uptown Jewelers, which is located on Main Street U.S.A. near the park entrance.

Dooney & Bourke D100 Wonder of Wishes Bag

The D100 Wonder of Wishes tote bag is black and features white stitching and detailing. A gold-colored Dooney & Bourke plaque is attached to one side of the bag above a shiny silhouette of the “Partners” statue. The sculpture depicts Walt Disney holding the hand of Mickey Mouse and debuted at Disneyland in 1993; replications subsequently arrived at Magic Kingdom in 1995, at Tokyo Disneyland in 1998, and at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris in 2002.

The Partners statue is a popular photo location at Magic Kingdom due to its scenic location at the end of Main Street U.S.A. directly in front of Cinderella Castle. Its proximity to the park’s icon is referenced on the other side of the bag, as a silver silhouette of Cinderella Castle is printed at its center. Vibrant fireworks fill the negative space on both sides of the bag, lighting the night sky just as fireworks do each night at Magic Kingdom.

Dooney & Bourke Christmas Collection

Get a head start on your holiday shopping, or buy yourself a well-deserved gift, with an item from the new Dooney & Bourke Christmas Collection. The line includes four bags (a tote, a backpack, a wristlet, and a crossbody), all of which are the same base shade of maroon with brown detailing.

The bags share artwork of iconic Disney characters wearing holiday-inspired outfits, with the tote bag telling the most cohesive visual story. Mickey and Minnie are dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus and appear around a decorated tree. Several other characters, such as the Genie, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Simba, appear around them, with Tinker Bell aptly lighting the top of the tree. A Dooney & Bourke plaque is attached above the characters.

The imagery is largely replicated across the backpack, wristlet, and crossbody, with a few more characters joining the party on the other items. Bambi, Thumper, the Cheshire Cat, and Stitch appear on the other bags, all of which feature holiday iconography like snowflakes, stars, and wreaths filling the negative space.

Dooney & Bourke

Dooney & Bourke is a luxury fashion brand that Disney frequently collaborates with. The company has released several items in celebration of Disney100, including a “D100 Platinum Collection” and several bags depicting moments from early Mickey Mouse cartoons.

The brand also frequently releases bags themed to iconic movies from Disney’s filmography; a “Peter Pan”-inspired collection flew into Magic Kingdom earlier this month after “The Lion King” and “Bambi” lines released at the park in June.
