The “Summer House” marquee has been installed atop the new Summer House on the Lake building under construction at Disney Springs. The new dining venue is scheduled to open this year, although a date has not been announced. During our last construction update, we noticed new window shades and roof paneling.
Summer House Marquee
The new “Summer House” sign is atop a low overhang at the front of the building.
“On the Lake” will be added in the depression on the front of the overhang, below “Summer House.”
The large letters are white.
Shrubbery is to be added behind the sign, which will make it stand out more.
See the restaurant’s approximate final look in the concept art below.
Summer House on the Lake is next to Jaleo, on the West Side of Disney Springs.
Summer House on the Lake
Summer House on the Lake was announced in the summer of 2022, taking over the space formerly planned for Beatrix Restaurant. Disney and Lettuce Entertain You had previously announced that Beatrix was merely “on hold,” but it seems they decided not to go forward with that particular project. Lettuce Entertain You is the owner of both Beatrix and Summer House Santa Monica, which are both considered Chicago staples.
Concept art of the interior matches the white exterior covered in greenery.
