FIRST LOOK at the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts Passport

The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off today — January 12 — and runs through February 19. We have a first look at the event passport.

2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts Passport

A person holds up the event passport for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in front of Spaceship Earth.

The front of the passport features Figment in the corner, teasing a Figment flipbook built-into the passport. Around Figment are rainbows and white images of World Showcase pavilions. The background is navy blue with a couple hot air balloons — reminiscent of The Land Pavilion and Soarin’ Around the World — and clouds. The festival’s wordmark takes up most of the cover.

The inside cover is patterned with more rainbows. The first page is a table of contents for the passport, which features information about merchandise, activities, entertainment, and food studios. The first section is “Fun for kids of all ages.”

On these two pages are some of the activities that guests can enjoy. In World Celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. is the Expression Section paint-by-number mural. Animation Academy, where guests can learn to draw a Disney character, is at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the America Gardens Theatre. Chalk art galleries are on the sidewalk of the main bridge to World Showcase. Kids can create their own chalk art on the bridge from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Chalk Full of Characters is throughout World Showcase. Various Disney characters are depicted as chalk drawings in the pavilions. Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt takes place throughout the park. Guests can purchase a game map at select merchandise locations, search for Figment in the park, and then redeem the map for a prize at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, or World Traveler.

There are several photo ops inspired by classic works of art, as well as the new “Wish,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Mary Poppins” photo ops. Lastly, this section lists Drawing on Inspiration: Celebrating Spaceship Earth, a mural in World Celebration featuring artwork by four Imagineers.

The Disney on Broadway section of the event passport for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series features various stars of Disney’s Broadway musicals. Appearing for the first time this year is Caissie Levy, who originated the role of Elsa in “Frozen” on Broadway. Levy will appear alongside Patti Murin, who originated the role of Anna, on January 12, 14, 15, 18, 20, 22, and 23.

Also appearing in January are Heidi Blickenstaff from “Freaky Friday,” Gavin Lee from “Mary Poppins,” Ashley Brown from “Mary Poppins,” and L. Steven Taylor from “The Lion King.” The latter two will also perform in early February.

They will be followed by Mandy Gonzalez from “Aida” and Michael James Scott from “Aladdin.” Also appearing for the first time at the festival are Bradley Gibson who portrayed the titular role of “Hercules” and Shoba Narayan, who has portrayed Jasmine in “Aladdin.”

On February 19, the final day of the festival, a special finale performance celebrating the 10th anniversary of “Aladdin” on Broadway will include Gibson, Gonzalez, Narayan, and Scott.

Other entertainment at the festival is listed on the next page. Art Defying Gravity is an acrobatics show performed at the World Showcase Plaza on Saturdays through Wednesdays. Also at the World Showcase Plaza will be Visual Art in Performance — live art demonstrations by Trevor Carlton and Stephen Fishwick. Musicians will also periodically perform at the plaza. Check My Disney Experience for showtimes.

On the opposite page is an advertisement for the Festival-themed Disney Gift Card, available at various merchandise locations, and the festival cuisine key. An allergy-friendly menu can be accessed with a QR code.

The bulk of the passport is taken up by food studio menus (without prices). Stay tuned for our reviews of everything available at the festival.

Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine items are marked with crossed paintbrushes. This is another self-guided scavenger hunt but based on food instead of Figment. More information about Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is at the end of the passport.

The Funnel Cake, Artist's Table, and L'Arte Di Mangiare sections of the event passport.
The Pastoral Palate and Refreshment Outpost sections of the event passport.

The Imagination Pavilion-inspired Figment Popcorn Bucket is available at Figment’s Inspiration Station in the Odyssey Pavilion.

The Refreshment Port and Gourmet Landscapes sections of the event passport.

Plant-based items are marked with a green leaf logo, but you’ll notice there unfortunately aren’t many plant-based items at this year’s festival. One is the Wild Mushroom Risotto from Gourmet Landscapes at the Canada Pavilion.

The Deconstructed Dish and Pop Eats! sections of the event passport.

The menus also include pictures of some of the most interesting dishes. The pages have more artwork of hot air balloons. And don’t forget about that Figment flipbook in the corner.

The L'art de la Cuisine Francaise and Vibrante & Vivdo: Encanto Cocina sections of the event passport.
The Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina and Goshiki sections of the event passport.

The only other plant-based item is the Stone-baked Moroccan Bread from Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina.

The Painted Panda and El Artista Hambriento sections of the event passport.
Artistic activities sections included in the event passport.

After the menus, there are a few pages of artistic activities that teach guests about different art styles. Guests can create their own papel picado image inspired by “Coco” and learn to draw Minnie Mouse in a pop art style on these pages.

A section of the passport where guests can "draw pictures like Rapunzel."

Next is a spread that encourages guests to draw like Rapunzel. In “Tangled,” Rapunzel paints on the walls of her tower home.

Two more art pages inspired by "Hercules" and "Moana."

Next is a page inspired by “Hercules.” Guests are encouraged to decorate their own clay pot with pictorial art. The last page of these activities describes body art using Maui’s tattoos. Instead of drawing your own images, the page encourages guests to find the mini Mauis on the page.

The beginning of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine section.

Finally is the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. With this scavenger hunt, guests can purchase any five items from the list of seven on the next page. When you purchase an item, ask a Cast Member for a stamp. After filling your passport palette with five stamps, you can head to the Deco Delights food studio for a prize. The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine can be completed at your leisure at any time during the festival, including across multiple days.
