This is the latest in a series of treats featuring Skittles, whose parent company — Mars — sponsors the Confectionery. When the shop was redesigned in 2021, the Mars sponsorship was highlighted through signage and decor, plus a heavy number of treats featuring Mars candies. The new look also came with a new backstory focusing on inclusive characters.

Other Skittles treats include marshmallow pops and cupcakes.

The presentation is cute, with the floral-style wrapper and pink frosting evoking feelings of spring on an otherwise chilly winter morning.

It’s topped with fragments of freeze-dried candies and a dollop of the strawberry filling found inside.

This is the perfect-sized treat for one person. It’s about $0.50 more than a regular cupcake and offers a better flavor profile than the standard vanilla. The lemon cake is thick, moist, and chewy — the kind that gets stuck in your teeth and melts away. The strawberry filling is a nice complement to the lemon cake, if not a little artificial for our tastes. Both flavors stand out independently.

The strawberry buttercream is light and, contrary to many Walt Disney World cake-based treats, well-proportioned. We liked that the Skittles are crushed, as it makes it a much easier treat to eat without having sporadic hard chunks.

Overall, we give the Skittles Strawberry Lemon Bundt Cake a 6.7 out of 10. If you’re looking for a more Skittles-forward treat, we recommend the Skittles Fudge Bites instead.

Freeze-dried Skittles treats are also returning to the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which begins on January 12. Guests can find these items at Figment’s Imagination Station in the Odyssey pavilion.
