The large Earth sculpture has returned to Mission: SPACE at EPCOT after refurbishment.

The outside of the attraction, known as Planetary Plaza, has been undergoing a slow refurbishment, with pavement design updates and planet refreshes. Tracks from the NASA Perseverance Rover were added and Jupiter was recently refurbished. Now Earth has been restored.

Earth is located at the attraction marquee. The planet was removed back in August 2023 for refurbishment.

The sculptures are not meant to be models of the planets but artistic representations. Earth is vibrant blue with white striations. The Mission: SPACE sign curves around the planet.

Mission: SPACE at EPCOT

Mission: SPACE is a simulator that takes guests onboard an X-2 rocket for training. There are two intensities: Green, which executes a mission around Earth and doesn’t use the ride’s centrifuge; and Orange, the more thrilling option that does utilize the centrifugal motion and takes guests on a mission to Mars.

Watch both ride experiences below.

Mission: SPACE – Mars (Orange)

The ride is located in World Discovery at EPCOT, near the Space 220 Restaurant and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
