Preparation for Halloween Horror Nights 33 continues with speaker, light, and tower installations around the park.
Halloween Horror Nights 33 Preparation
Preparation for the yet unconfirmed return of “Nightmare Fuel” continues inside the former “Fear Factor Live” theater. Previously, an elevated walkway was installed above the stage. On a recent visit, we noticed that numerous black speakers have been installed on and around the temporary platform.
There has been no update to the tower that was installed outside of the theater. We expect this to eventually house a “Nightmare Fuel” sign.
Cafe La Bamba has seen quite a few changes since our last update. Three towers with black bases have been installed in three of the corners of the restaurant’s elevated outdoor seating area. A fourth tower sits right next to the steps that lead up to the seating area.
An additional tower has been erected on the lower level of the seating area, right next to the exterior of the restaurant.
A wire now hangs beneath the black arch that frames one of the entrances to the elevated outdoor seating area.
Lighting has also been added to the scare zone area outside of Cafe La Bamba, including in the flower beds along the walkway.
Other lights have been installed at the top of the green towers that stretch from one end of the scare zone to the other.
All towers along this walkway have had lights added to them.
Another large scaffolding structure has taken shape in the San Francisco area of the park. These four towers are connected along the top by scaffolding to create a square.
Next to the structure, another scaffolding tower on a black box stands in front of Lombard’s Seafood Grille. Numerous lights have been installed at the top of this tower.
Halloween Horror Nights 33 will take place on select nights from August 30 through November 3. Tickets can be purchased on the Universal Orlando website. So far, nine of the 10 houses and two scare zones have been announced for the event.
