BREAKING: Peter Pan’s Flight Reopening Earlier Than Expected at Magic Kingdom

Peter Pan’s Flight was originally scheduled to reopen on August 21, but it will now reopen to guests nearly one week earlier at Magic Kingdom.

Peter Pan’s Flight Reopening Date

The entrance to the "Peter Pan's Flight" ride at a theme park features whimsical decorations and a sign with Peter Pan and characters flying, but with "Peter Pan's Flight Closing" soon, the enchanting scene feels bittersweet.

When Peter Pan’s Flight closed for refurbishment on July 8, it looked as though the attraction would be shuttered to the public for a few months. It was then announced that the attraction would reopen on August 21. However, guests visiting Magic Kingdom this weekend are in for a surprise.

Learn about "Peter Pan's Flight" attraction at Walt Disney World, including height and age requirements, accessibility, and operational hours for specific dates following its reopening.

While looking at the attraction’s official webpage, we noticed that the ride is now showing operating hours for Friday, August 16, 2024. This means guests visiting Magic Kingdom tomorrow will be able to ride the newly refurbished attraction. The ride will also be open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

At this time, we don’t know what updates the ride went through. There were rumors that the story would receive cultural sensitivity updates. In 2022, the “Never Land Tribe” was added to the mural outside of the attraction, replacing references to an “Indian Camp.”

Below you can check out our 4K ride POV of the attraction as it was before the current refurbishment took place.
