Peter Pan’s Flight Closed for Refurbishment at Magic Kingdom

The wildly popular Peter Pan’s Flight closed today in the Magic Kingdom for an extended refurbishment that is expected to last for several months.

People walk outside the "Peter Pan's Flight" ride at a theme park, with colorful medieval-themed building decor and signs. A woman pushes a stroller while others around her are in casual clothing.

Brown construction walls surround the entrance of the attraction. Currently, no visible facade work has started yet.

A blue sign with a decorative border on a wooden wall reads: "All it takes is faith and trust. Oh! And something I forgot. Dust!" Beneath the text is the logo for PPG Paints.

PPG Paints branded signs adorn the construction walls. Each sign features a different quote from the 1953 film that the attraction is based on.

A building with a brown door marked with a blue sign. Two gates with "Do not enter" signs are in front. A yellow and purple trash bin and a castle-like structure are visible nearby.

The walls extend out to cover the attraction’s queue.

A group of four people, including two dressed as Peter Pan and Wendy, stand in a themed area labeled "Never Land," interacting and smiling under a wooden archway. A small child watches from the left.

Despite the refurbishment, Peter Pan and Wendy could be found meeting guests in front the ‘Never Land Tribe’ mural. In 2022, a portion of the mural was changed from “Indian Camp” to “Never Land Tribe”, the first in a series of rumored changes to make the attraction more culturally sensitive for today’s audiences.
