Multiple Disneyland reopenings and closures have been announced, including a Jungle Cruise refurbishment.

Guests visiting Disneyland Park next week got quite a few pieces of exciting news. The park will be much easier to navigate as the path between New Orleans Square and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reopens on August 19. On the same day, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes will reopen. While the entire restaurant won’t reopen on that date, guests will also be able to use the restrooms on the lower level of Hungry Bear Restaurant.

These areas, as well as Critter Country, have been closed while construction continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and The Haunted Mansion queue and gift shop. At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we learned that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on November 15, 2024, and when Critter Country reopens, it will be known as Bayou Country.

It was also announced that Jungle Cruise will be closing for a standard refurbishment on September 16. Because the attraction calendar only runs through September 26, we don’t have an exact reopening date at this time. However, the attraction is expected to be closed for about three weeks.

2023’s second-most visited theme park is ever-evolving. In addition to the reopenings and closures reported above, “it’s a small world” will be closed multiple times over the next year so the attraction can undergo maintenance.

Are you excited about the Disneyland reopenings that are set to begin next week? Let us know in the comments.

  1. While closures are frustrating, we visited Disneyland Aug. 5th-8th and thought that Jungle Cruise and Small World (which is my most favorite ride) looked really tired. 🙁 Definitely time for both rides to get some straightening up.
