Two new “Mary Poppins”-themed houseware items have been spotted in World Showcase at EPCOT.
We found both items at The Toy Soldier in the U.K. Pavilion.
Mary Poppins Tea Towel – $22.99
The tea towel features a cartoon-style illustration of Mary Poppins in a blue coat and dress with a pink striped scarf flowing around her. She holds her iconic umbrella and bag and stands in front of an outlined lamp post and buildings.
Her name is printed above her in pink script. The EPCOT wordmark and “United Kingdom” are printed just under her bag.
The bottom of the towel has a lace edging and the back has a blue silhouette of Mary Poppins flying over an outlined city with sparkles around her.
Mary Poppins Jewelry Dish – $19.99
This jewelry dish depicts Mary Poppins’ signature umbrella, but upside-down. The handle juts out from the center with the parrot face painted on.
One side of the dish features the same wordmark and illustration of Mary Poppins from the towel. The bottom of the dish is black.
If fans of the magical nanny are looking for more, a 60th anniversary ear headband inspired by Mary’s “Jolly Holiday” dress was released last month at Walt Disney World.
Mary Poppins at EPCOT
A “Mary Poppins” Cherry Tree Lane area and attraction were announced for the U.K. Pavilion at EPCOT back in 2019 at D23 Expo. It was officially postponed in July 2020 alongside the also-announced Spaceship Earth reimagining amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Two years later, then-CEO Bob Chapek confirmed that the project was shelved but not canceled. In 2023, concept art for what appears to be a teacups-style indoor spinner ride was posted online. Disney has not said anything new about the project since it was put on hold.
