The Treasure left the Meyer Werft shipyard in September and completed trials in the North Sea. Disney officially took ownership of the ship at a delivery ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands. On October 29, the ship left the Netherlands for Port Canaveral.

The ship did take a brief detour near Bermuda to rescue stranded boaters from a sinking vessel.
