The seating are at Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was recently demolished, and is still undergoing reconstruction.

The original seating area was unexpectedly demolished in September. Throughout the construction process, the walk-up counter-service restaurant continues to operate.

The refurbishment was unannounced and details for the final project have yet to be shared.

Under a clear blue sky, a construction site bursts with colorful decorations and scaffolding, surrounded by trees and festive string lights. Nearby, Woody's Lunch Box Seating offers a cozy spot to relax amid the vibrant atmosphere.

There has not been much movement since last month’s construction update, when a portion of the seating area reopened. Planters continue to separate the work area from guests. They create a temporary blockade when needed at Walt Disney World.

In the vibrant amusement park area under construction, colorful lights illuminate the future Woody's Lunch Box seating, nestled among striking buildings and lush greenery under a clear blue sky.

Other parts of the construction area are barricaded by posts with scrim wrapped around them. A grid has been setup for more pavement to be poured. Also visable is construction equipment throughout the site.

A look inside the construction site also shows pieces of lumber and a metal box. In the background, we can see the shade structure that was erected all the way back in January 2022. That is not a typo, we are approaching the 3rd anniversary of this project.

One of the main complaints about Toy Story Land has been the lack of shade and seating — especially in the area of Woody’s Lunch Box. Until Roundup Rodeo BBQ opened in 2023, Woody’s Lunch Box was the only dining venue in the land and had no covered seating. As of writing, it still does not.

  1. I have never eated at Woody’s lunch box. Expensive pop tarts really doesn’t appeal to me. I can get loaded tots at Friars nook. Why does it take Disney years to construct a seating area? Must be DEI hires.
