The Summer Tribute Store, which first opened at Universal Studios Florida in May 2024, has now closed.
Summer Tribute Store
At the Summer Tribute Store, dubbed “Tribute Store Plaza,” guests could rediscover some of their favorite memories from movies like “Ghostbusters,” “Back to the Future,” “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” “Jaws,” and “Shrek.”
The Tribute Store transported guests to “The Tribute Store Plaza” – a 1980s shopping mall featuring three highly immersive “mega” rooms: the Mega Video Rental video store, a retro Mega Castle Arcade, and the Tribute Theatre. As guests explored the shop, they would discover various IP-related merchandise available for purchase, photo opportunities, and countless Easter eggs inspired by familiar characters and moments from each of the films.
The store opened as part of a summer packed with offerings, including Universal Mega Movie Parade and CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular.
During a visit to Universal Studios Florida on Monday, January 6, we found that the Summer Tribute Store had closed. The themed exterior has been completely removed, and a sign reading “Closed Please Call Again” is now sitting in the window.
The doors to Williams of Hollywood, where the store was located, are now shut with curtains blocking any views of the interior.
Merchandise from the Summer Tribute Store is still available for purchase online at the official Universal Orlando Resort shop.
