Magic Kingdom
- A new Magic Kingdom guidemap has debuted at Walt Disney World featuring the Tiana’s Foods water tower at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
- The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness will have to wait, as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has officially closed for a yearlong refurbishment at Magic Kingdom.
- Walt Disney World has announced the return of the Florida Resident Discover Disney ticket, which allows Florida locals to experience the resort at an affordable cost.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has been removed from the attraction list for Disney After Hours, just before the first 2025 tonight.
- Walt Disney World Resort has revealed the first Annual Passholder “Good-to-Go” Days of 2025.
EPCOT
- There are construction walls up next to Spaceship Earth in EPCOT, likely for work on the new Spaceship Earth lounge set to open this year.
New Merchandise
- Several new goods perfect for bringing your love of Mickey Mouse home have arrived at Walt Disney World.
- A leaked image from a Department 56 catalog shows new and returning The Haunted Mansion décor items that will be available this year.

- Due to cold weather in Central Florida, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will be closed for the next two days.
- The previously announced Golden Oak Four Seasons residences are now officially on sale, and new concept art of some of the interiors has been released.
Disneyland Resort
- A new Haunted Mansion Bride souvenir sipper is coming to Disneyland this week, confirming previous rumors that the attraction would receive a new Bride.
- Disney Parks Blog has released the full menus for Lunar New Year 2025 at Disneyland Resort, which kicks off later this month.
- Alongside revealing the full Lunar New Year menus, Disneyland Resort announced the celebration’s special novelties.
- As part of the Lunar New Year 2025 festivities at Disney California Adventure, three limited edition Sip and Savor Passes will be available for guests to collect.
- The full Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye pre-show has been restored at Disneyland Park after five years.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Signage for “it’s a small world with Groot” has been installed on the attraction’s façade in Tokyo Disneyland.
Disney+ & Streaming
- Disney has reached a deal to combine Hulu + Live TV with “sports-first” streaming service Fubo in a new joint venture, ending the latter’s antitrust lawsuit to block the Venu Sports joint streaming service from Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Universal Orlando Resort
- The Summer Tribute Store, which first opened at Universal Studios Florida in May 2024, has now closed.
- Universal Orlando Resort announced another round of Volcano Bay closures due to cold and rainy weather this week.
