The Walt Disney Company said the Disney Treasure had a “spectacular start” and they expect the ship to be profitable in its first quarter in the water.

Disney Treasure Success
During Wednesday morning’s Q1 FY25 earnings call, CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston were asked about the Treasure’s launch last month. Johnston said the Treasure has had a successful beginning, selling out rooms. Guests are rating the ship “excellent,” in line with the other Disney Cruise Line ships. Disney “feels terrific” about the feedback and expects the Disney Treasure to be profitable for its first full quarter sailing, which is Q2 FY25.
The Disney Treasure’s maiden voyage began on December 21, 2024, at the tail end of Q1. It is the sixth Disney Cruise Line ship and part of the Wish class. It will be followed this year by the Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure.
Disney Cruise Line and U.S. Disney Parks saw a dip in operating income during Q1, in part due to the expenses of launching the Disney Treasure. Disney Experiences saw overall growth, however, thanks to international parks.
