Show Kitchen Windows Blacked Out at Wonderful World of Sweets in Downtown Disney District

Just a month after the shop opened, the show kitchen windows of Disney Wonderful World of Sweets are blacked out.

Colorful storefront windows with whimsical designs featuring cartoons and patterns, reminiscent of a playful kitchen vibe. Strollers are parked nearby as people stroll past.

When Wonderful World of Sweets opened, guests could see Cast Members making confections through the windows of the show kitchen. There were windows outside the store, so guests walking by might be drawn in by the sight of baking. Now all the windows are covered with blackout paper, a stark contrast to the rest of the façades colorful decorations.

Even the window of the show kitchen’s door is covered so guests can’t see inside. There were no signs of construction around the kitchen. Below are photos from when you could see inside.

Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is one of a number of new stores at Downtown Disney District, which is undergoing a years-long transformation. Parkside MarketDisney Storyland BoutiqueD-Lander Shop, and Avengers Reserve all recently opened. The former ESPN Zone building is under construction to become multiple shops. Tortilla Jo’s is being demolished to become Arthur & Sons and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ.
