Universal Orlando Resort shared a video of the life-size dragon puppet of Stormfly, who will roam How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk in Epic Universe.
Astrid & Stormfly in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Stormfly is Astrid’s dragon and the two will appear in the world together. Astrid was previously appearing by herself during Epic Universe team member previews.
For some reason, Universal deleted their original social media post but they shared it again soon after. See the video of Stormfly and Astrid embedded below.
The puppet is able to blink, walk, and move its head back and forth. The video also includes growling sound effects.
While Astrid and Stormfly will roam, there is a dedicated meet and greet for Toothless and Hiccup. The world will also have flying dragons. WESH 2 previously caught video of an animatronic dragon. Guests will also be able to meet Gobber’s dragon, Grump, at Gobber’s Forge. Other dragons will appear peeking through windows and doors throughout How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
Epic Universe opens on May 22, 2025.
