“Magic of the Disney Treasure” will premiere on March 28 at 10/9c on National Geographic. It will also be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.

Go behind the scenes into the adventurous worlds of Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Treasure. From rehearsal to premiere, voyage with Moana in the film’s first Broadway-style adaptation. Experience the inspiration behind bringing the world of “Coco” to life. And get a glimpse into the realm of illusions creating grim grinning ghosts on the high seas.

National Geographic previously produced documentaries about the creation of the Disney Wish and Disney Lookout Cay.

The Disney Treasure launched last year. The sixth Disney Cruise Line ship features adventure theming, including the Plaza de Coco restaurant, Haunted Mansion Parlor bar, Jungle Cruise-inspired Skipper Society Lounge, the AquaMouse ride with a new story, and more. The Treasure joined the Disney Magic, Wonder, Fantasy, Dream, and Wish. The Disney Destiny, a third Wish-class ship like the Wish and Treasure, will set sail on its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025. A fourth Wish-class ship will launch in 2027.

Meanwhile, the Disney Adventure sets sail out of Singapore on December 15, 2025. Oriental Land Company, the owners of Tokyo Disney Resort, announced their own Disney Cruise Line ship scheduled to launch from Japan in 2029. Three smaller ships will launch in 2029, 2030, and 2031.
