*NEW* Heirloom Tomatoes and Fresh Mozzarella – $5
with shallot vinaigrette, sourdough croutons, pesto, micro basil, and balsamic pearls
This is the weakest of the three Summer Solstice menu items. We noticed other versions of this dish looked more like regular tomatoes, but ours were pretty heirlooms.
The pesto lacked flavor. The balsamic pearls were good, but we wish they had been a drizzle all over the dish instead. It really needed balsamic to tie everything together. Unless you’re craving tomatoes and cheese, skip this.

Grilled Beef Strip Loin – $8.50
with tomato risotto featuring BEN’S ORIGINAL INTERNATIONAL GRAINS Arborio Rice, tomato-beurre blanc, and basil pesto
This is one of the more expensive dishes at the festival, and you only get two pieces of steak. That being said, they are pretty thick, and the entire dish is bigger than it appears. The steak is cooked well, and you can taste a bit of char.
The risotto ties everything together nicely. The overwhelming flavor is garlic with beurre blanc. The tomatoes add a bit of acidity. It’s well seasoned. We would definitely get it again.

*NEW* Peach Cobbler – $4.75
with cinnamon gelato and streusel topping
This is a fantastic dessert. The gelato does melt fast in the sun, so you’ll probably want to eat this inside. That said, the cinnamon gelato was smooth and creamy. It has just enough cinnamon flavor to let you know it’s there without being overpowering.
The peaches are cooked and seasoned well. They’re not overly sweet. The streusel added a nice texture and a bit more cinnamon. We would probably give this a 7/7 if it was just a little bigger.
