Colorful stained glass has now been added to the 70th Anniversary Castle Sculpture at Disneyland Resort.

The sculpture, honoring the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Park, will be in the center of the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Previously, crews had built construction walls and supports for the sculpture.

The future 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle now has many of its colorful glass panels. The panels are made up of various pink, yellow, blue, and purple shades and are place between gold supports.

According to concept art below, the purple glass pieces at the top of the structure will be the base for the main spire of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Additional roofing, flags, glass panels and golden charms representing the five original lands of Disneyland Park still need to be added to the esplanade’s centerpiece.

Other 70th anniversary decorations planned for Disneyland Resort include an updated floral Mickey, colorful banners and bunting, a “Celebrate Happy” sign with Mickey and Minnie, and a “70” medallion on the real Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration begins on May 16 and runs through the summer of 2026. Special entertainment includes the new “World of Color Happiness!” with a Muppets pre-show at Disney California Adventure, a cavalcade featuring Duffy at Disneyland Park, the return of Paint the Night, and the return of “Wondrous Journeys.”Other offerings include MagicBand+ interactivity, a guided tour, the new Key to Disneyland experience, and “it’s a small world” updates.
