As part of the ongoing refurbishment of Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney has shared the first public images of the newly-renovated hotel rooms.
Pop Century Updated Hotel Rooms

A new release from Disney has shared the first official pictures of the updated hotel rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This is more of a soft-goods refurbishment, so most of the changes are to the curtains and paint colors rather than the furniture or layout. A more major overhaul of the Pop Century rooms happened in 2017, which is when the pull-down bed was added.

As in the previous Pop Century rooms, the resort will still have a regular bed and one pull-down bed. The curtain covering the room’s window is new and features a white fabric with red polka-dots. The bottom right corner has a black silhouette of Mickey Mouse saying “Oh Boy” in a white chat bubble.

One major change for the new rooms is the refreshed flooring, which is a laminate material painted in the same wood color as the pull-down bed. This is accented by a new rug placed underneath both of the beds. The rug appears to be blue, gray, green, and orange with a geometric pattern.

The walls above the bed and by the bathroom have also been painted a new shade of sky blue. The color does not extend to the wall behind the TV. But, compared to the previous walls that were all plain white, the blue adds a nice splash of color. The chairs by the table also appear to have refreshed fabric cushions.

While Disney shared a close-up image of the pull-down bed, the comic-style frame of a sleeping Pluto is the same as prior to the Pop Century refurbishment. The Mickey art light above the regular bed is also the same as the old version of the room.

Finally, no significant changes have been made to the bathroom. The blue color on the walls by the sink does appear to match the blue wall color that is now in the bedroom section.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort has been undergoing a renovation in more than just its hotel rooms. The resort recently debuted a new coffee shop station in the Everything POP Shopping & Dining location, which was also completely refurbished earlier this year. The room renovation project is expected to be complete in February 2026.
