Magic Kingdom

• Disney announced the closing date for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom to receive a major overhaul.
• Extended evening hours will be available at Magic Kingdom at least one more day this summer.
• Astro Orbiter at Magic Kingdom is back open.
• Walt Disney World has announced the reopening date for Prairie Outpost, the former candy store that will now operate as a hat shop.
• Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom will close for a brief refurbishment next month.

EPCOT

• Walt Disney World has announced that Spaceship Earth will be temporarily closing for refurbishment later this summer.
• YouTube user The Concrete Wanderer shared a full ride POV and queue tour of the reimagined Test Track from the first day of Cast Member previews.
• Disney PhotoPass revealed the new Test Track on-ride photo, which will be available when the EPCOT ride reopens next month.
• Disney has officially announced that the “Heartbeat of Freedom” Fourth of July fireworks tag is returning to EPCOT.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• The size and scope of the Monsters, Inc. door coaster ride building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was revealed in a map from Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
• The Miss Piggy Lady Liberty fountain has been removed from Muppets Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the space becomes Monstropolis.

Disney Springs

• If you visit Disney Springs this summer, you might notice Orange Bird hiding in a few locations for the Flavors of Florida scavenger hunt.
• Also for Flavors of Florida, Swirls on the Water offers the returning Orange Bird Cone.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• Work continues at a steady pace on the Disney Lakeshore Lodge, with the walls getting more sheathing and the roof continuing to rise higher.

New Merchandise

• More Halloween T-shirts popped up at Walt Disney World Resort this week, including “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and Mickey & Friends tees. 
• There are two new classic ear headbands featuring Mickey and Minnie’s autographs available at Walt Disney World Resort.
• A new necklace featuring the retro Walt Disney World “D” logo is available at Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom.
• A new Orange Bird shirt is now available at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs.

• Walt Disney World released their full list of Fourth of July snacks available at parks and Disney Springs, including three new menu items.

Disneyland Park

• A video posted to TikTok shows two guests being escorted off Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland, presumably after exiting the boat.
• The Enchanted Tiki Garden pre-show area has now reopened to guests earlier than expected.
• Construction walls that previously surrounded Pixie Hollow have been completely removed ahead of its reopening.

• Tokyo Disney Resort guests will soon be able to book a private Disney Resort Line Monorail car for a special limited-time experience.

• The Hong Kong Disneyland 20th anniversary celebration soundtrack is now available on music streaming services.

• Universal Studios Hollywood has announced its first original haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights 2025, and it’s a three-quel: Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America.
