BREAKING: BDX Droids Now Roaming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World

The beloved BDX droids have arrived at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a limited time.

Three boxy, two-legged bdx droids with large eyes stand on pavement before a weathered shipping container.

According to Scott Gustin, the droids will roam areas of the “Star Wars” land Tuesday to Saturday from July 16 through August 30. Their set times are 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m.

The droids are named Red, Grek, Oskar, and Besh, based on their main colors. They debuted at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland in October 2023 with a playtest. They later made limited time daily appearances for Season of the Force 2024.

Disney announced earlier this year that the droids would come to Walt Disney World. They first sailed on the Disney Wish, then visited Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.

The droids were updated for Florida with heat-resistant materials.

The BDX droids were developed for Disney theme parks but will make their on-screen debut in “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” in theaters on May 22, 2026.

The droids earned Disney the 2025 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement – Technical Innovation. Disney Research is training the droids for autonomous human interaction.
