The Fantasy Springs-inspired drone show toured festivals last summer. It’s a 15-minute show with about 1,500 drones, which create images of Disney characters and iconography in the sky.

So far, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced these two tour stops:

  • The 109th Ashikaga Fireworks Festival in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture: Saturday, August 2, 2025, at around 7:15 p.m.
  • The 32nd Akagawa Fireworks Festival in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture: Saturday, August 16, 2025, at around 7 p.m.

Other participating fireworks festivals will be announced later. The drone show will not be performed at Tokyo Disney Resort itself.

What is Fantasy Springs?

Fantasy Springs opened in June 2024. It is the eighth “port” of Tokyo DisneySea. It has three areas inspired by Peter Pan, Frozen, and Tangled. In Peter Pan’s Never Land are the rides Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. In Frozen Kingdom is Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. And in Rapunzel’s Forest is Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival. Each area also has a restaurant and street entertainment. It also includes the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, which houses the port’s gift shop.
