Jurassic Park River Adventure is part of the Jurassic Park area of Universal Islands of Adventure, which also includes Jurassic World VelociCoaster, Pteranodon Flyers, the Camp Jurassic playground, Jurassic Park Discovery Center, and the Raptor Encounter.
Universal has not announced any details of the refurbishment. The ride may just be going through extensive maintenance.
