New teaser trailers have been revealed each week since the first released ahead of the Avatar: Fire and Ash film in theaters and later on social media outlets. With four trailers now out, their combined total views has soared past 1.02 billion.
Avengers: Doomsday Trailers

According to The Hollywood Reporter,
The social volume was for each teaser was on average 188 percent greater than for a typical Marvel drop, and the combined four teasers now top the highest views for Marvel trailer launches on Instagram (505 million) and TikTok (103 million) views. They also spawned 16 owned organic trends on X, including Doomsday, Steve Rogers, Thor, X-Men, and Wakanda.
For comparison, when the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer dropped, it became the most viewed trailer at that point in time with 365 million views in 24 hours.
When asked about the trailers, Joe Russo said, “Each one of those trailers is narrative information, and it’s all part of a larger story. And so, I would argue that Doomsday has already started for you.”
See all four trailers below.
Steve Rogers Will Return
Chris Evans returns as Steve Rogers, in the first teaser showing him coming home on a retro Triumph motorcycle, packing up his Captain America uniform, and holding a baby in his arms.

We already knew Chris Evans was returning to the MCU but it had not been confirmed that he would play Steve. Given the franchise’s dip into alternate universes — and that Robert Downey, Jr. is returning to play Doctor Doom, not Tony Stark — it was possible Evans would play a different character.
It’s still possible he’s an alternate version of Steve Rogers than the one we know and love.
Thor Returns Trailer
In the second teaser, Thor prays to his father, Odin, for guidance in facing one more enemy. He refers to the events of Thor: Love and Thunder, which ended with him adopting the child Love.
X-Men Will Return
The third teaser for Avengers: Doomsday features Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Cyclops.
The trio were among the Avengers: Doomsday cast revealed last March as part of an hours-long livestream. Other actors from the X-Men film series returning for Doomsday are Kelsey Grammer (Hank McCoy / Beast), Alan Cumming (Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler), and Rebecca Romijn (Raven Darkhölme / Mystique), all reprising their roles from the original 20th Century Fox X-Men films.

Stewart last appeared as Professor X a.k.a. Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), in which he portrayed an alternate universe version of the character. This marked the character’s first MCU appearance. McKellen and Marsden last appeared as their X-Men characters in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), a 20th Century Fox film.
The Wakandans & The Fantastic Four Return
The most recent Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer stars Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther, along with Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing.

In the teaser, Shuri and King M’Baku meet up with The Thing from The Fantastic Four. Though the other members of The Fantastic Four do not appear, we know Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Pedro Pascal will all reprise their roles.
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by the Russo Brothers. It will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026. Tom Hiddleston has already said Avengers: Doomsday is “absolutely brilliant.“
