Disney Adventure Crew Attend Orientation at Walt Disney World

On a recent Instagram post, Disney announced that incoming Disney Adventure crew members from around the world attended training at Walt Disney World.

Disney said, “At this event, crew members attended orientation, received their name tags and enjoyed meeting their new shipboard besties over Mickey-shaped pretzels.”
The crew members have now boarded the ship in Port Canaveral and are sailing to Singapore for the maiden voyage on March 10, 2026.

The Disney Adventure was recently escorted through the Bahamas by the Disney Destiny and the Disney Fantasy before stopping at Port Canaveral. There, the ship started testing the new roller coaster Ironcycle Test Run.

Construction of the Disney Adventure was completed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The ship had its first float out in spring 2025, followed by sea trials. The ship was originally scheduled for a December 2025 maiden voyage, but this was delayed to March 10, 2026.
In December, Disney took ownership of the vessel and began the journey from Bremerhaven, Germany. The ship stopped at Madeira and will make two more stops in Los Angeles and Tokyo before arriving at Singapore.
Though it has a similar design to other Disney Cruise Line ships, it is unique because it began its life as the Global Dream, commissioned by Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises. After the company went bankrupt, Disney Cruise Line acquired the half-built ship. The Disney Adventure is now the largest Disney Cruise Line cruise ship, accommodating about 6,000 passengers.
The ship’s inaugural season will consist of three- and four-night cruises. Features include a Storybook Castle in the Imagination Garden atrium, a Captain Jack Sparrow show, a Duffy and Friends show, and Marvel rides. You can take a look behind-the-scenes of the entertainment aboard here.
