Disney Begins Main Street Sidewalk Refurbishment at Magic Kingdom

Disney is apparently refurbishing a sidewalk on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom. A large section of pavement outside Crystal Arts is currently covered with temporary boards.

A large section of pavement outside Crystal Arts is currently covered with temporary boards.

The large boards have yellow edges to make them more obvious for guests. They’re located at the edge of the sidewalk, by a curb cut at the corner where Center Street meets Main Street.

These kinds of boards usually cover unsafe patches on the ground that have been torn up due to construction. The work takes place when the park is closed.

We noticed some scoring in nearby pavement. Scoring refers to the cutting of pavement to make it easier to remove. We’ll likely be seeing more signs of construction in this area over the next few weeks.
