Cinderella Castle is steadily becoming the new version of its former self as crew members continue to restore the original color scheme.
Cinderella Castle Repainting

Several crew members in lifts were working on the castle towers Wednesday morning, March 18.

On the east side, crew members were focused on this tower’s roof. Right where they were working, chipping of the old paint was visible. We saw this removal process begin last week. They are now painting the roofs a brighter shade of blue. If you look closely at the above photo, you can see two distinct colors of blue on the tower.

Some of the other blue roofs on the east side of the castle appear to have been painted more. The roof behind that tower had two different shades of blue earlier this week but appears to be one shade now.

Visible from behind the castle, more crew members were working among the rooftops. It’s harder to see what they were doing but they may have been painting over some of the remaining gold trim. Most of the gold trim has been painted a light cream-gray color.

The remaining pink paint above this doorway on the back of the castle has been painted gray.

But there’s still pink paint on the tallest tower, where Tinker Bell flies each night.
Cinderella Castle was painted in 2020 and 2021 for the park’s 50th anniversary. Disney announced last year that they would repaint the castle and restore its original cream, gray, and light blue colors.
