Crews continue to add to the Encanto ride building and work on the foundation of a new carousel in the future Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Tropical Americas replaces DinoLand, U.S.A.
Encanto Ride

The Encanto ride building was recently “topped off” with an American flag, a tradition that signifies vertical construction has reached its highest point. The American flag is visible at a corner of the building, which is mostly still a framework. Disney recently filed a permit for set installation at the ride.

On Thursday morning, March 5, we saw crews using the large crane on site to lower steel beams onto the framework.

Crew members in a lift were securing the beams. In a recent aerial update, we saw an entrance framework under construction. The ride façade will be Casita-themed.
Carousel

Since the last aerial update, rebar has been installed in the foundation of the land’s new carousel. When @bioreconstruct on X snapped photos of the foundation, it had recently gained a yellow moisture barrier.

In our new photos, we can see the moisture barrier is now covered in crisscrossing metal. There are also short poles sticking out of the foundation.
The carousel will be made up of wood-carved Disney animals like Kevin from Up.

In the background, most of the Restaurantosaurus props and signs remain intact. The restaurant will be re-themed into a hacienda.
Aladar and Dino-Sue were removed from the land a few weeks ago.
