Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, the Zootopia ride at Shanghai Disneyland, is the resort’s highest-rated attraction and some guests visit the park just to see the land.
Zootopia: Hot Pursuit Popularity
According to Disney, one in four guests states they came to the park just for the Zootopia land.
The land has also sold over 4.8 million Pawpsicles — 480 tons of ice cream. These iconic treats are available at Zootopia Market.
The area opened in December 2023. In addition to the ride, guests can meet Nick and Judy plus interact with other residents during Zootopia Comes Alive, a live puppet show in apartment windows.

The ride currently has a temporary Zootopia 2 overlay. Gary De’Snake from the sequel also joined Zootopia Comes Alive, Nick and Judy have donned their Zootopia 2 looks, and a temporary Zootopia projection show is playing before ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration.
The popularity of Zootopia 2 has Chinese nationals choosing consumerism over nationalism.
