In one of the most unique offerings we’ve ever seen at a Universal theme park, The Blues Brothers join Cookie Monster and Grover from Sesame Street for The Ultimate Blues Bash. Part of the Universal Studios Japan 25th anniversary “Discover U!!!” celebration, the show takes place on the Sesame Street stage in the park’s New York area.

The characters team up to discover the blues and step into a brand-new world of music. Cookie Monster and Grover appear in blue versions of Jake and Elmwood’s suits. They even arrive with a briefcase (attached to Grover with a beaded bracelet instead of handcuffs) and a giant cookie inside, mirroring the brothers.

The characters sing and dance, accompanied by live musicians playing horns and drums. Jake and Elmwood speak and sing in English while Grover and Cookie Monster sing and speak in Japanese.
